Rebuilding the Consulting Club: A Foundation for the Future

When I joined the Consulting Club, my goal wasn’t just to participate-it was to rebuild it. At the time, the club was quiet, with low engagement and little structure. I saw potential and felt a responsibility to bring it back to life and not just for myself, but for future students who, like me, were curious about consulting but didn’t know where to start.
My main objective was to get the club running again. I focused on sparking conversations, creating interest, and establishing a basic structure. I hosted case workshops, organized mental math sessions, brought alumni and second-years in for mock interviews, and created beginner-friendly resources. Most importantly, I started building relationships with students, faculty, and professionals that I hoped the next club president could grow further.
It wasn’t about making everything perfect. It was about planting the seeds.
If I were to do it again, I’d push even harder to create partnerships for live projects and connect with more local consultants. But overall, I’m proud of the momentum we built. The next chapter wasn’t mine to write but I wanted to make sure there was a next chapter.
